Sam F. Tobias Started Business in 1946

TOBIAS SHEET
METAL COMPANY
was founded in 1946 by Samuel F. Tobias. His first shop was a
two-car garage in Dayton, Ohio, where he performed spouting, roofing, and
general sheet metal fabrication. Year by year Samuel expanded his shop, and in
1955 moved it to a new shop on West Third Street in Dayton. He also expanded his
services to include residential heating and air conditioning service and
installation.

After finishing college in 1968, Sam's son, Thomas, joined the company. In 1971
TOBIAS
made many changes. The spouting and roofing services were discontinued,
allowing the company to concentrate on sheet metal fabrication and heating and
air conditioning services. Thomas became vice-president and the shop was
relocated to Heid Avenue. After 14 years on Heid Avenue,
TOBIAS
built a new
building and moved to our current location at 2040 Brandt Pike. In January 1990,
Samuel relinquished his position as president to Thomas. However, he is far from
retired and continues to work in the metal fabrication shop.
Over the years, the heating and air conditioning industry has undergone many
changes. To better serve our customers,
TOBIAS
has kept abreast of the new
technologies by providing continuing education for our employees. Our mission,
however, is the same:

TOBIAS

to provide customers with a team of skilled, highly-trained and experienced
people that will provide a specifically-designed heating, air conditioning, or
related system to satisfy their environmental requirements. |
